Jackson, Ohio City Schools community celebration for new school construction

News Release
The site for construction of the new high school for Jackson, Ohio City School district was host to a pre-dedication celebration tonight (Wednesday). The following quote is from the City Schools Webpage. "Recently, a levy was passed making it possible for Jackson City Schools to construct a new building. Construction will start in spring, 2002." The site is on State Route 139 just south of Jackson. (On the left driving south on State Route 139 from Jackson.)
Face-painting, the Jackson High School Marching Band, 6th grade jazz-band, high school jazz-band, Mark Wood Fun Show and free food were some highlights of the celebration. Also on hand were high school staff and city school board members.
The formal dedication takes place at the site at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2002.
